Our Managing Director, Tony Portelli, has been one of the most successful media business leaders across Sussex and London over the past 20 years. Tony’s most recent challenge was to transform the strategy of the Brighton Argus to create a sustainable business model that saw the brand become the best performing in the LocaliQ group of companies in terms of profitability, digital growth and circulation.
Prior to this Tony was the leading Ad Director for Johnston Press PLC taking their Sussex and Hampshire business to the top of the table consistently across many years picking up many industry awards along the way for outstanding revenue growth in print and online including the Regional Magazine of the Year award at the Newspaper Society Awards.
Tony supports start-up businesses in the region through his work as a mentor for the Natwest Entrepreneur Accelerator programme with a focus on business strategy, marketing and sales.

With a wealth of experience in journalism and public relations, Andy’s most recent challenge was to transform The Argus and build new relationships in Brighton and Sussex.
As an award-winning editor he is a specialist in all areas of media he is used to setting the agenda and developing strategy. His most recent achievement was to take The Argus, the company’s worst performing title, and within 12 months turning it into Newsquest’s best performing daily title. This was achieved through industry leading circulation performance and digital audience growth.

He is Chairman of the Argus Appeal and proud of his work to promote the charity, fundraise and maintain its position at the heart of the community, recently being recognised with the Queens Award for Voluntary Service.
When not working with clients in Sussex he likes to escape into the woods on a mountain bike accompanied by his hyper-active dog or disappear down a river in his kayak.

Peter is the Deputy Leader of the London Borough of Bromley, the largest of the London Boroughs. He holds the portfolio with responsibility for Education, Children and Families. Peter was strategically responsible for the successful turnaround of three failed local authority services including the Youth Offending service, Adult Education and the Children’s Services Department which progressed from an Ofsted rating of ‘Inadequate’ to ‘Good’ with ‘Outstanding’ Leadership in just two years.
He has been the chairman of various charities and served on the Board of Clarion Housing Association, the largest Housing Association in the United Kingdom.
